“We can’t become what we want by remaining what we are.”

This Too Shall Pass:

Safe Hands was able to quickly respond and conduct awareness program on mental health among professionals and business leaders. “Too Shall Pass” is the caption to giving HOPE to those who are going through anxious moments during this pandemic.

Helpline:

Here2Listen247 is the helpline launched in April 2015. Safe Hands had stepped up its preparedness in handle calls on the helpline. There are volunteers and appoint them to handle the calls. The helpline number was promoted with the positive quotes widely via social media. We received calls from those who lost their jobs and followed up and prayed. We were surprised to hear from someone who had got a job during pandemic and economic slowdown. It was an answer to the prayers. Praise God.

A testimony about a caller; About 2017, a father had called seeking help to save his only daughter who had fallen in love with her classmate during her engineering 2nd year. She had attempted suicide once and was on high risk. After many counselling hours and much prayers, she recovered and became normal. Her father had called recently in the month of November 2020 to invite us to his daughter’s wedding. We were overjoyed to hear such good news and being invited to the wedding. I praise God for His faithfulness.

With six sessions they were equipping to counsel suicidal cases. We have received a good feedback from the participants. Most of the participants are planning to spread the awareness within their churches and communities. There was a participant who had lost her son to Suicide few months prior to this program. She was help and she decided that she will reach out to other and don’t want anyone to suffer as she did. Some of the participants were once suicidal and were able to acknowledge the pain they went through during those difficult time of their lives. This program challenged them to reach out to those going through HOPELESSNESS.  The next training is planned to commence from 14th January 2021.
